About the role

We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the transportation of goods and materials. Your role will involve analysing data, creating transport plans, and ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyse transportation requirements and develop effective transport plans
- Coordinate with internal teams to determine shipment priorities and deadlines
- Collaborate with carriers and logistics providers to secure transportation services
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery
- Optimize routes and schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize costs
- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including invoices, bills of lading, and delivery receipts
- Address any issues or delays in transportation and implement corrective actions
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulations related to transportation logistics

Qualifications and Skills:

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in using transportation management software or systems
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, carriers, and logistics providers
- Problem-solving abilities to address issues in transportation operations
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and record keeping

Pay: £24,596.54-£35,545.09 per year
